STRIVE 4OUR ACADEMY & MODEL OF SUCCESS 

Everything is connected to our Academy and Model of Success.

The model contains 4 main components and is integrated into a variety of critical areas for student success.  The purpose of the Academy is situated to absolutely and unequivocally prepare students for their Paid Internship experiences. Thoroughly, students are taught, through methods, such as- experiential and projects based learning to obtain quality and meaningful learning experiences.

  • Implementation of the 7 Core Internship and Career Readiness Competencies

  • Acclimation of the STAR Method for Interviewing 

  • Professional Mock Interviews

  • Workshops on Linkedin and Linkedin Photos 

  • Social Media Etiquette 

  • Workshops on Resume preparation 

Model 3

  • Experiential and Project Based Learning in Innovativeness, Thinking and Problem Solving 

  • Introduction of solving Real World Problems in Business through the Live Fishbowl and Responsive Sessions 

  • Internship preparation in areas of STEM and Business with a focus on private and government sectors 

  • Focus on Career Readiness in the Cybersecurity sector

  • Each student will be assigned an Academic Coach​

  • Each student will be assigned a Career Coach 

  • STEM Mentoring and Workshops- The College and Career Outlook 

  • Professional Writing and Communication Workshops 

  • College Admissions in correlation with STEM or Business interest 

Model 4

  • Exposure Days

  • Capstone Projects and Internship Assessment

  • Assistance with resume submission

  • Assistance with logistical accuracy (adhering to timelines and interview protocol)

  • Students who successfully complete the Academy will receive an Industry recognized Certificate

We keep a keen eye on the academic and professional pursuits of our students. To those regards, we developed a 2 Tiered Model of Academic and Professional Implementation. As you  observe the tiers, please find that they are linear and collaborative.

THE 7 INTERNSHIP AND CAREER READINESS COMPONENTS

These components are the skills that employers across all industries consider to be of incredible value for interns and employees. That is, these are acquired skills that assuredly identify highly qualified and desirable candidates. Students are required to exhibit a certain acumen of these components. The capturing of these components, along with other aspects of the initiative help to determine each student's opportunity to receive their Certification, which are discussed after the 7 competencies.

STRIVE 4OUR INTERNSHIP CERTIFICATION 

As students obtain The Strive 4our Certification, it is a clear indication to employers and academic entities that these students have acquired a credential that thoroughly prepares them for successful entry across the comprehensive fields of industry.

With that, the Certification is only awarded to students who adhere to the Academy's stipulations and standards, which are set forth in the structure of the initiative.
